Almost 12 months ago, we welcomed a purr-ticularly creative visitor to Swift-Cut HQ – Nate from Nate’s Forge in Scotland. Nate wanted to create a sculpture of a big cat (yes, really!) from 3mm mild steel, and he asked if he could use our Swift-Cut Pro plasma table to bring his idea to life.
Naturally, we said yes. He supplied the steel and got to work.
Fast forward a year, and Nate’s now shared the result – and we think it was worth the wait. The precision cut on the Swift-Cut Pro meant:
- Zero material waste thanks to a perfectly nested sheet design
- Clean edges, no dross
- And a final piece that slotted together beautifully
Nate even sent us a photo of the finished sculpture installed – and we think it’s the cat’s whiskers!
